Deride and Conquer

UAE Boycotting Israel

|

Our President:

I want those who are questioning it to step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a Great British [sic] company.

Our world (you know, reality):

The parent company of a Dubai-based firm at the center of a political storm in the US over the purchase of American ports participates in the Arab boycott against Israel, The Jerusalem Post has learned.

The Jerusalem Post notes that “US law bars firms from complying with such requests or cooperating with attempts by Arab governments to boycott Israel.”

Oh those pesky laws and treaties, interfering with such friendly cronyism!

But, seriously. You don't hand control over ports to a nation that boycotts one of your closest allies. Do we really have to explain something as simple as that?
