Target Letters?
NYT:
Among the charges that Mr. Fitzgerald is considering are perjury, obstruction of justice and false statement - counts that suggest the prosecutor may believe the evidence presented in a 22-month grand jury inquiry shows that the two White House aides sought to cover up their actions, the lawyers said.
Mr. Rove and Mr. Libby have been advised that they may be in serious legal jeopardy, the lawyers said, but only this week has Mr. Fitzgerald begun to narrow the possible charges. The prosecutor has said he will not make up his mind about any charges until next week, government officials say.
With the term of the grand jury expiring in one week, though, some lawyers in the case said they were persuaded that Mr. Fitzgerald had all but made up his mind to seek indictments....
But Mr. Rove and Mr. Libby may not be the only people at risk. There may be others in the government who could be charged for violations of the disclosure law or of other statutes, like the espionage act, which makes it a crime to transmit classified information to people not authorized to receive it....
So the theory holds. Wurmser and Hannah (who worked for Bolton, not in the White House, in accordance with what the NYT says) were the leakers, probably at the behest of Rove, Libby, and/or Cheney. Rove and Libby tried to cover it up, and got tangled in their own web of lies. Wurmser and Hannah, faced with the more serious charges, possibly turned on Rove and Libby. Rove, apparently, has been turning on Libby. Whether anyone turned on Cheney remains to be seen, and whether Bush knew and lied to the Grand Jury and the public in 2003 and 2004 remains to be seen. But at this point the outline of the indictments are beginning to become clear. And yes, Rove and Libby are likely to get tagged.

i get the feeling that fitz doesn't give a shit. this is about the law for him. those types of dudes are really strange. for that reason he doesn't care about his career. and it isn't like he is running for office. he is a lawyer...this prosecution will make him a superstar for the rest his days.

Stopping the White House Bullies
Could it be that the White House bullies will be stopped? Will Fitzgerald really take them on? Isn't he afraid of them? The bullies will destroy Fitzgerald's career. Fitzgerald will be chasing ambulances in Chicago by the time they're finished with him. Nobody takes on the White House bullies and survives. Just ask McCain, Kerry and McClellan, even war heroes lose. Good Luck Fitz. You'll need it.
